According to Maria Yialamas, MD, and colleagues writing in JAMA Internal Medicine:
Women were more than three times as likely than men to say they had experienced role misidentification in the past.
Women were also more likely to report improvement in their identification as physicians after getting their badges, Yialamas and co-authors found.
Additionally, 92.7% of female residents clearly displaying their name & role said their day-to-day work experience had improved in the time since.
